LSA Exhibition
2016. LSA. Edinburgh

These works were created in response to explorations in the organic unfolding, the interruptions, the folds and edges and spaces between, which make up the topography of an individual’s sense of self.
A drawing excursion to the Wohl Pathology Museum, Edinburgh, inspired me to examine these delicate developments in more detail by moving from observational drawing to work in an instinctual way, allowing the development of these pieces.
Boundaries, whether by shape, container, or glass, are a nod to the museum environment I found inspiration in; but also are a reflection of our internal boundaries that may be limiting or enabling.
