CAP exhibition
2019. Patriothall Gallery. Edinburgh

Solid, still against visceral and fleshy.
The combination of these materials that captures my attention:
part fascination, part revulsion.
Vulnerability alongside power, Tension alongside slackening, Definite alongside intangible.
I’ve carved, scraped, chewed, breathed into this work.
The membranes swell, emerge, and strive to take a form which in an unpredictable split- second collapses into deflated remains.
Perhaps at the point of the thinnest membrane there is a pause of unknowing.
The bubble burst
These works were exhibited at the group end-of-year show for the Contemporary Art Practice course (CAP) at Leith School of Art, Edinburgh.
