Solid, still against visceral and fleshy.

The combination of these materials that captures my attention:

part fascination, part revulsion.

 

Vulnerability alongside power. Tension alongside slackening. Definite alongside intangible.

 

I’ve carved, scraped, chewed, breathed into this work.

The membranes swell, emerge, and strive to take a form which in an unpredictable split-second collapses into deflated remains. 

Perhaps at the point of the thinnest membrane there is a pause of unknowing.
